Orange has a number of surrounding villages just on it's outskirts including, Lucknow, Ophir, Spring Hill, Spring Terrace, Forest Reefs, Millthorpe, Borenore, Nashdale and Cargo.

The population of Orange is currently at 38,000 Urban and 20,000 rural and district and is growing at 1.9% annually. We have a wide industry base including Fruit Production, Equipment Manufacturing, Mining, Viticulture & Agriculture. Orange also boasts a number of attractions such as Lake & Mount Canobolas, heritage walks, beautiful parks and gardens, winery tours plus special events such as FOOD Week, the Orange Show and the Australian National Field Days.
